our plan for Arts award

Music through the Ages  Initial plan written on the 8th September 2010

Aim: To research and create different pieces of music from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s using (within practical limits) the technology of that era.

Progress to be written and reflected on in online blog

Our rough plan is to spend 4 weeks on each decade, researching, practising and recording.

This will take 16 weeks.

This takes us up to November/Dec

We aim to do our gig review in November

And to start planning our sharing sessions (possibly a radio broadcast?) in December.

  1. Freddy's comment on planning

I'm writing this comment on the 8th of december as part of the process of reviewing our plan and how we think it has gone so far. i think that we have slightly stuck to our plan but we occasionally we veered off path to do some practicing. which is still important for the course practice can only make perfection.

Simon's comment on planning (as requested by Freddy to be added)
I think the plan is going suprisingly smoothly. I think practice is all part of the process and that we time budgeted 4 weeks per track , about 12 hours each and roughly speaking that is what we've done. We've blogged the Gig Arts audience experience and we are begining to discuss the Arts leadership part of the challange as well. All in all were on target. Freddy is working really hard and his work is of a consistently high standard (even when he's tired!)
